David is a masterful teacher. He moves the material forward at a good pace and is extremely knowledgeable. I've had great teachers, including famous ones, and David ranks at the top.
David is an excellent instructor with real-world, real-time experience with the subject. A must for anyone on their way to becoming a 'digi-holic.
David is both knowledgeable and patient. He takes the time to find out what his students want to get out of the course and tailors his lectures to their personal interests.
I left the course with a strong grasp on the principles behind web design and tools and resources to expand on my knowledge. He is an excellent teacher.
What an amazing teacher! David's fun personality and energy made learning so much fun. Everything was patiently explained in a clear, concise way. I can't wait to take more classes from him!
David's class was a solid introduction to HTML programming that provided me with the fundamentals to start creating a website.
Q: Can I really learn HTML in a three evening seminar?
A: Yes. HTML is a very logical and easy language to learn. A beginner can pick it up very quickly and this is a very clear and uncomplicated course.
Q: What software do I need to own to write HTML?
A: Any text editor that can create plain text will work. On Macs you can use Text Edit or Text Wrangler. On PCs you can use Notepad or you can use any popular code editor such as Dreamweaver.
Q: I'm not a programmer. Will this be too hard for me?
A: Not at all. HTML isn't really a programming language. It is essentially a system of listing and tagging contents so that web browsers can display your work properly.
Q: Will I get a new job if I take this course?
A: I can't promise you will get a new job but it certainly doesn't hurt to know HTML in this day and age.
Q: I'm a designer. Will this help me understand web design?
A: Yes. If you want to design web pages, it is extremely helpful to know how and why things work the way they do. This will inform your design decisions in many areas.
